Michael Jackson Turns 50

As you may know Michael Jackson turned 50 yesterday and to celebrate this, he has launched yet another re-release of his greatest Hits (what happened to the new album?). I used to love this guy but the king of Pop is now shell of his former self and his excentricities seem to have been his downfall.
Michael Jackson said in a telephone interview on “Good Morning America” on ABC that he planned to celebrate his birthday with his children, “I’ll just have a little cake with my children, and we’ll probably watch some cartoons,”

The pop star, who has been divorced twice and has three children, also said he was trying to provide a normal life for his children. “I am letting them enjoy their childhood as much as possible,” he said, adding: “I let them go to the arcade and go to the movies and do things. I think that comes naturally. I want them to get to do things I didn’t get to do.” As for his career, Mr. Jackson said he was “looking forward to doing a lot of great things.” He also added that the happiest times of his life were when he recorded the hugely successful albums “Thriller” and “Off the Wall.” “That meant very much to me and seemed to be received so beautifully by the public and the world,” he said.
